Recent Arrest by the Scott County Sheriff's office
Scott County-On November 26, 2020, Corporal James Ward went to and address in Scottsburg on a follow up investigation. The investigation led to the arrest of Dewayne Smith, 49, of Scottsburg on an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant.
On November 27, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County. An investigation led to the arrest of Patrick Wilson, 31, of Scottsburg for Operating as a Habitual Traffic Violator.
On November 27, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer attempted to conduct a traffic stop in rural Scott County. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop causing a pursuit. A short time later the pursuit ended and the driver and passenger were arrested. The driver, Autumn Campbell, 38, of Crothersville, IN, was arrested for Dealing in Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug At Least 5 Grams but Less than 10 Grams, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Reckless Driving, Possession of Paraphernalia and Resisting Law Enforcement using a Vehicle. The Passenger, Dakota Aynes, 20, of Scottsburg was arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement Using a Vehicle and Visiting a Common Nuisance.
On November 28, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer and Deputy Skylar Thompson responded to Rural Scott County for the complaint of gun shots. Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of David Zollman, 48, of Lexington, IN, for Criminal recklessness Armed with a Deadly Weapon and Neglect of a Dependent.
