Recent Arrests by the Scott County Sheriff's Office

Scott County-On November 13, 2020, Corporal Charlie Morgan with the assistance of additional deputies, an officer from Scottsburg City Police and a trooper with the Indiana State Police responded to a local business in an attempt to serve an outstanding arrest warrant.  Upon arrival Brian Lytle, 31, of Veedersburg, IN, was arrested on an out of county arrest warrant.  Brian Lytle also received additional charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Resisting Law Enforcement and Possession of Paraphernalia.

On November 13, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman checked a suspicious vehicle in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Destiny Hoffman, 41, of Lexington for Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Legend Drug Possession, Public Intoxication, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe and Possession of Methamphetamine.

On November 14, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman responded to a residence in Scottsburg in an attempt to serve an outstanding arrest warrant.  Upon arrival Ereinna Woods, 40, of Scottsburg was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for Escape, Failure to Return to Lawful Detention.

On November 15, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman completed an investigation that he began on November 9, 2020.  This investigation of the theft of a catalytic convertor led to the arrest of Ethan Garvey, 21, of Hanover, IN, for an out of county arrest warrant and additional charges of Theft Less Than $750.

On November 15, 2020, Deputy Skylar Thompson and Corporal Charlie Morgan responded to rural Scott County for an assault.  Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Christopher Bowman, 39, of Scottsburg for Sexual Battery and Battery. 

Deputy Thompson and Corporal Morgan also arrested Brent Hargis, 32, of Scottsburg for outstanding arrest warrants in two different counties.
