Scott County's Deputy Part 2

Part 2 of the News Release - On 3-3-2024 at approximately 12:16 pm, Scott County Sheriff's Office First Sergeant Johnney Coomer was on patrol near the Scott / Clark County Line on US Highway 31 when he made a traffic stop on a vehicle. During the traffic stop, it was confirmed the driver, identified as Joni M. Tash, 46, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, was suspended in Indiana through the IDACS/NCIC System. Further investigation at the scene led to the discovery of Methamphetamine (approximately 9.2 grams), Marijuana, and Paraphernalia. Joni M. Tash was placed under arrest for the following criminal offenses.
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance
- Possession of Paraphernalia
- Possession of Marijuana
Tash was transported to the Scott County Jail without incident, where she remains in custody. Assisting First Sergeant Coomer at the scene were Deputies Cody Newsome, Isaac Stevenson, Jamie Royce, and Steven Frye of the Sheriff's Office.
