Scott County Sheriff's Deputy's Persistent Patrol Leads to Multiple Arrests for Possession of Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia...Your Deputies Continue to Bust their Tales keeping Scott County Safe.

Scott County- On 2-26-2024 at approximately 6:15 am, Scott County Sheriff's Office First Sergeant Johnney Coomer was on patrol near Gardner Street and Lake Road in the City of Scottsburg. First Sergeant Coomer observed a vehicle being operated erratically and after observing the driver commit a traffic violation, a traffic stop was initiated. The driver, identified as Jerry G. Blythe Jr., 57, of Scottsburg, told First Sergeant Coomer he had no operator's license. Further investigation at the scene resulted in Blythe and a passenger in the vehicle, identified as Edward T. Bowers, 58, of Scottsburg being placed under arrest for the following.

Jerry G. Blythe Jr - Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Operator Never Licensed, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Edward T. Bowers - Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Visiting a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Blythe and Bowers were both transported to the Scott County jail without incident, where they remain incarcerated.
