Lengthy Investigation into Drug Dealing in Scott County Results in a Search Warrant of a Residence, Seizure of Suspected Fentanyl Pills, Drug Paraphernalia, and US Currency...Drug Dealers Arrested

Scott County-In early January 2024, an investigation into suspected drug dealing at a residence in Scott County concluded on 2-21-2024 with a search warrant of the apartment home. The search warrant was executed at 1147 N. Bond Street, Apartment #4 in Austin, Indiana, led by deputies of the Scott County Sheriff's Office. The search resulted in the seizure of suspected Fentanyl Pills, other Narcotic Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, and US Currency. Arrested at the scene of the search warrant were Ossie H. White, 47, and Nicholas L. White, 49, both of Austin, Indiana.

UPDATE - More information has been gathered regarding the search warrant and the subsequent arrests made at the scene. Nicholas L. White, 49, was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail immediately upon execution of the search warrant. Ossie H. White, 47, was arrested and transported to the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, where he remained under medical observation until released from the hospital on 2-23-2024. Scott County Sheriff's Deputies remained at the hospital during White's observation period and further provided transportation for him to the Scott County Jail, where he remains incarcerated.

Nicholas L. White was arrested for Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance, Possession or Use of a Legend Drug, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Ossie H. White was arrested for Possession of a Schedule I, II, III, or IV Controlled Substance - Enhancing Circumstances, Obstruction of Justice, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.  After reviewing the investigative findings presented, Scott County Prosecutor Chris Owens and Staff assisted Sheriff's Deputies with securing the following additional arrest warrants for Ossie White...Dealing in Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug - Prior (3 counts), and for Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
